Britton Smith Peters & Kalail Welcomes Three New Attorneys

Our firm extends a warm welcome to three new attorneys, Giselle Johnson, Miriam Pearlmutter, and Megan Bair.  Giselle has joined the firm as Of Counsel after serving as the in-house chief counsel for the Dayton City Schools and Columbus City Schools for a combined 13 years.  She is also a former adjunct professor of education law at Capital Law School, and has been a frequent presenter on school law topics around Ohio and throughout the country for organizations supporting education and school personnel. 

Miriam is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was articles editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and also earned a Top Ten Brief in the Herman Moot Court Competition.  Prior to law school, Miriam worked as a school psychologist and special education director and holds a master’s degree is psychology.  Megan is also a recent graduate, having earned her law degree from  The University of Akron School of Law and undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University (cum laude).  Megan’s practice focuses on a variety of school law matters, including general labor and employment issues, labor disputes, board policy administration, personnel issues, and student legal services. Megan also has experience litigating criminal and civil suits filed in both state and federal court.
