SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

Whether your project is self-funded or is an Ohio School Facilities Commission project, we are actively involved with many construction/renovation projects for our clients and assist with all phases of a project whether it be building, repairing or enlarging a school building. Our work begins with the acquisition of real estate. We have assisted many districts to avoid the process of eminent domain by participating in negotiations with property owners. We are also involved with the initial review of the project agreement, the selection of architects, engineers, construction managers and the negotiations of these contracts and fees. Review and revision of construction documents, including construction contracts, surety bonds, tax forms, bid specifications and instructions to bidders is of particular importance to a successful project and is a service we provide on a regular basis. We also assist in the determination of the lowest, responsible bidder and handle competitive bidding issues and disputes with contractors.
