Moore, an attorney with Britton, Smith, Peters & Kalail Co., LPA, received her undergraduate degree from Canisius College (B.A., 1992) and her law degree from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (J.D., 1995). Ms. Moore’s practice is dedicated to representing Ohio school districts in general matters as well as litigation. She advises Ohio school districts on a wide spectrum of issues, including labor relations, human resource administration, employment problems, student concerns, board policy, and special education. In addition, Ms. Moore advocates in federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies on behalf of Ohio school districts. Litigation has involved various concerns, including but not limited to, public records law, qualified immunity, personal injury, labor controversies, employment issues, and constitutional matters. Ms. Moore has served as counsel in labor negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and contract administration throughout her career. Her negotiation work with school districts has included utilization of both interest based and traditional models. Since 2004, Ms. Moore has taught Collective Bargaining, Labor Law, Employment Law, and HR Management/Labor Relations for the Nance College of Business Administration at Cleveland State University. She has also served as an Employment Law and Labor Law instructor at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and taught Special Education Law for the School Psychology program at Cleveland State University's College of Science. Ms. Moore also provides in-services and training to various school districts. Ms. Moore is admitted to practice in the State of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. She enjoys membership in the Ohio Council of School Board Attorneys, the Northern District of Ohio Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Cleveland Bar Association.
