John E. Britton is the firm’s president and has been practicing school law since 1984. John’s practice is dedicated exclusively to the representation of school boards, primarily in litigation, labor relations, special education, pupil personnel, human resources, and school finance matters. John has been a frequent presenter and lecturer in the area of school law throughout Ohio. He is the coordinator of the Ashland Leadership Academy Seminars (ALAS), an administrative leadership program he helped establish in 2001 with Ashland University. He regularly addresses administrators at ALAS on a variety of topics relating to leadership, accountability, and preventive legal maintenance. In addition, he serves as counsel for the Ohio Schools Council Legal Hotline, a division of the Greater Cleveland School Superintendents Association. He received an “AV” rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
