Kathryn Perrico focuses her practice on special education law, including the IDEIA, Section 504, and the Americans with Disabilities Act; student discipline; student records/confidentiality; and student residency issues. She appreciates the opportunity to work so frequently on student issues, as she was an educator in the elementary grades before practicing law. Kathy also represents school boards in a variety of employment litigation matters in both state and federal courts and agencies, including litigating public records and Sunshine Law disputes, statutory immunity issues, employee discipline and termination appeals, and discrimination and retaliation claims. Kathy is a frequent speaker at district-based in-services on special education law, and has also presented for the Ohio School Boards Association, the Ashland Leadership Academy Seminars, and other professional organizations throughout the state.
